The Cabin In The Woods

In theaters April 13, 2012

95 minutes

I’ll start off by telling you, this will be a short review. Short because, I want you to see this film. The Cabin in the Woods is the most original, frightful, comedic, and downright awesome horror movie I have ever seen.
With the exception of almost anything zombie related (I love zombies), I just don’t appreciate the horror genre. This year alone has produced the disappointing Silent House and awfully predictable The Woman in Black. However, The Cabin in the Woods brings back the teen hack/slash awesomeness of the 80’s horror classics and mixes it with a little bit of sci-fi, fantasy/voyeurism and then finishes all gonzo – in your face.
Five teens decide to take a short vacation to a secluded cabin in a remote forest. What should be a weekend retreat turns into their worst nightmare. Together the group must discover the true secret behind the Cabin in the Woods.
Stop watching the trailers, stop reading reviews of this film and go see it. If you love horror or you enjoy sitting on the edge of your seat and cheering at the end of a film… this is the one for you.
