Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023) is rated PG-13 for mild swears, Nazis, street-fighting, people getting shot, people getting stabbed, people getting drowned, people getting blown up, plane crashes, trebuchets, and smoking.
Lauded as a raunchy comedy by many news outlets in advance of the film’s release, let’s put that mislabel to rest now as outside of a scene or two, there is little that should be labeled raunchy. What the film is, surprisingly, is an ole fashioned comedy with a lot of heart – perhaps too much.
The Flash (2023) is rated PG-13 for swears, mild drug use, babies being thrown from windows, people being struck by lightning, beaten, stabbed, shot, crushed, and blown up, tearful goodbyes, and Barry Allen’s butt.
Elemental (2023) is rated PG for themes of racism and bigotry, lots of fire and water damage, mild language, and scenes of peril and destruction.
The Boogyman (2023) is rated PG-13 for swears, mild drug use, glowing eyes in dark spaces, teen bullying, ghosts, and the destruction of a $30 moon ball I was sorry to see smashed.
If you’re looking for a laugh, you’re better off googling The Blackening sketch as it has nearly as many laughs in its four minutes as the full length film has in 96 minutes.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023) is rated PG-13 for mild swears, explosions, deaths (or permanent deactivations, I dunno know how it works), exploitation of indigenous peoples, destruction of a few bridges and buildings, and veiled racism.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) is rated PG for frenetic animated action-adventure. There are swings from heights, casual heroics, explosions, building collapses, inter-dimensional portals, robbery, grief, and the anxiety that comes from being late for everything.
The Little Mermaid (2023) is rated PG for shipwrecks, near drownings, implied violence against dolphins, and Ursula being big mad.
Huesera: The Bone Woman (2022) is unrated but call it Rated R for broken bodies, compound fractures, sexy times, birth, faceless terrors, blood, abandonment, spellcraft, self-harm, spiders, smoking, and arson.
